Pregnant Woman, Child Crushed To Death By Speeding Trailer In Ebonyi Abakaliki – It was a moment of tears in Ebonyi state as a pregnant woman and her child were on Wednesday crushed to death by a speeding truck just after four policemen were shot dead by armed bandits in the same area. The development has thrown the people of the Ndubia community of Izzi local government area of Ebonyi, home of the dead woman and child. Full identity of of the pregnant woman was yet to be ascertained It was gathered that the incident occurred when the deceased were on their way to a nearby market to sell cassava to enable her foot the hospital bill of her sick child. The deceased, a middle-aged woman whose child has been sick for a few days now, had been battling to save the life of the little child thereby making her harvest some of her crops to raise money.
